PEN Trust friend, Mary Jo Peterson, has a special place in her heart for the people of East Africa. In 2001, she visited Tanzania in order to get a better idea of the background and culture of her families’ foster child’s home country of Uganda. This year PEN Trust was fortunate to be the recipient of a forty foot container of books from Books For Africa donated by her family. Continue reading…

Happy Thanksgiving from PEN Trust and the 30 or so site workers who recently received food packages. As we distribute the very last boxes of Feed My Starving Children Food from our warehouse, we are reminded at how many lives have been touched through this gift of food. Blessings come in so many forms.
PEN Trust was invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony at Holy Trinity English Medium Primary School in Dodoma. New books from the Pearson Publishing container were used to open a Teacher Resource Center as well as supplement the student library. Continue reading…

PEN Trust wishes to thank NW Ohio Lutheran Synod for their synod-wide collection of school supplies. These were added to the Peterson container that arrived in late October. They included pencils, pens, crayons, markers, colored pencils, pencil sharpeners, scissors, paint sets, tape, rubber bands, staplers, notebooks, filler paper, folders, washcloths, safety pins and much more… Continue reading…
