Site workers receiving food from Feed My Starving ChildrenHappy Thanksgiving from PEN Trust and the 30 or so site workers who recently received food packages. As we distribute the very last boxes of Feed My Starving Children Food from our warehouse, we are reminded at how many lives have been touched through this gift of food. Blessings come in so many forms.

Andrea, Mary Jo and ElseyPEN Trust friend, Mary Jo Peterson, has a special place in her heart for the people of East Africa. In 2001, she visited Tanzania in order to get a better idea of the background and culture of her families’ foster child’s home country of Uganda. This year PEN Trust was fortunate to be the recipient of a forty foot container of books from Books For Africa donated by her family. Continue reading…

Boxes of school supplies from NW Ohio SynodPEN Trust wishes to thank NW Ohio Lutheran Synod for their synod-wide collection of school supplies. These were added to the Peterson container that arrived in late October. They included pencils, pens, crayons, markers, colored pencils, pencil sharpeners, scissors, paint sets, tape, rubber bands, staplers, notebooks, filler paper, folders, washcloths, safety pins and much more… Continue reading…

Merck Container Distributed

Unloaded Merck ContainerThe Merck Company donated funds for a forty foot container of books. Books For Africa chose PEN Trust to be the recipient of that container as it was a photo taken by BFA staff, Deb McDonald and Brad Mattson, taken at St. John’s University of Merck Manuals that initiated the donation. This container was primarily post-secondary and was designated to the two new universities in Dodoma – the University of Dodoma and St. John’s University of Tanzania. Continue reading…

US Ambassador’s Self-Help Grant
